about me
Welcome to my website!
I am an applied energy economist and policy analyst with a strong background and more than 15 years of experience applying economics and operational research methods to energy and climate policy questions. I graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MPhil in Technology Policy (2007) and a PhD in Energy Economics and Policy (2011). My PhD centered around modelling Gazprom’s pipeline investment strategy in the context of Russo-Ukrainian bilateral relations. Before my graduate studies at Cambridge University, I worked as a research assistant at the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences (Kyiv).
I am an energy market modelling enthusiast and Founder of CEM - Cambridge Energy Model - a set of energy market modelling tools, which I developed during my graduate studies at the University of Cambridge (hence the model bears the name of the city where I spent most of my early academic life!).
